When you are dealing with car insurance and you live in states like Michigan and New York, there is something that you need to worry about – snow.  Warmer climate states do not have to worry about snow, however if you are in the northern states, you do.  Now, as usual, the different parts of your auto insurance cover different things, so it is important that you know what your car insurance covers if you do get into an accident.

Firstly, you need to know that there are different kinds of coverage.  There are Collision coverage, liability coverage, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, and medical payments coverage, all of which are different!  While most people think of just auto insurance, they do not understand all of the different parts of them.
